Abbey Road was initially released in September 1969 and featured the now iconic image of the Fab Four crossing the pedestrian crossing near Abbey Road studios in London.

Abbey Road is the eleventh studio album released by The Beatles. The recording sessions for the album served as the last time the group would record together. The iconic album cover was designed by Apple Records creative director, (John) Kosh. The album sleeve never displayed the name of the band nor the album title. Kosh felt none of that information was necessary as they were the most famous band in the world!
