Papa Emeritus Nihil, formerly known as "Papa Emeritus Zero", is a member of The Clergy and was the frontman of Ghost during the Seven Inches of Satanic Panic cycle in 1969. He is the father of Papa Emeritus, Papa Emeritus II, and Papa Emeritus III. He died on March 3, 2020, after "Miasma" was performed at the final show of the Prequelle touring cycle in Mexico City. As of September 2022, he remains the last confirmed member of the original Papa Emeritus bloodline, though it is heavily implied that he also fathered Papa Emeritus IV as a former lover of Sister Imperator.
